Heartland Hospice is looking for compassionate, dependable, and caring individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers.

Volunteering with Hospice is a meaningful opportunity to support patients and families while gaining valuable experience in healthcare and community service.

Volunteer Opportunities

Patient & Family Support Volunteers

• Provide companionship and friendly visits to hospice patients
• Sitting with patients and offering a comforting presence
• Spend time talking, reading, playing games, listening to music, or participating in activities the patient enjoys
• Providing socialization and emotional support
• Offer caregiver respite by spending time with the patient while a caregiver takes a much- needed break.
• Providing support and companionship to veterans.
• Listening to patients share their memories and life stories.

Administrative Volunteers

• Assist our office team with general administrative task.
• Answer multiline phone calls
• Help prepare materials and support special projects
• Make Tuck in Calls.

Flexible scheduling is available, and we work with volunteers to find opportunities that fit their availability
