    Description

Special Olympics winter/spring competitive swim coach

Join our competitive winter/spring swim program where the focus is on fun, skills building, endurance training, and competition. Our small team of dedicated athletes are committed to improving their strokes and taking on challenges such as flip turns and diving. They enjoy the hard work of this engaging swim team. Assistant coaches help the head coaches both in and out of the water, monitoring warm-ups and lanes, and getting in the pool as needed to strengthen stroke technique. Practices are held at the Chapel Hill Community Center on Thursdays, 6:00 - 7p, 7:10-8:25p and later spring Sundays, 4:30- 6:00p. Coaches must commit to at least one regular practice session/week. Season runs January 15 - May 24.
