    Description

    Tech Development Internship - SEO Focus (Remote, Unpaid)

    Join the EcoServants Tech Development Internship and help improve the digital visibility of an environmental nonprofit through hands-on SEO work. This unpaid, fully remote internship offers real-world experience using tools like Screaming Frog and Google Search Console to enhance our website's search engine performance and user experience.

    Interns work closely with the tech team to identify SEO issues, implement improvements, and support ongoing digital development efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Use Screaming Frog to audit site architecture, meta tags, and link structure
    • Monitor performance and indexing via Google Search Console
    • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, alt text, and heading structure
    • Identify and fix crawl errors and broken links
    • Collaborate on internal linking strategy and content optimization
    • Assist in refining structured data/schema markup to support visibility

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Curious and detail-oriented with a strong interest in SEO or web tech
    • Comfortable with tools like Screaming Frog and Google Search Console
    • Able to work independently and troubleshoot issues logically
    • Familiarity with HTML and WordPress is a plus
    • Passionate about environmental outreach and improving digital impact

    This internship is ideal for students or early-career professionals in web development, marketing, or data science who want real experience with SEO while supporting an impactful cause.
