Work from the comfort of your home, coming to our office only once a month. This position requires someone with good listening skills and an ability to convey empathy. We are looking for people willing to make phone calls to recently bereaved. These calls are placed to the survivor, the person who was the main caregiver, once a month for 13 months after the death of a person.
Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County provides 24/7 nursing availability to terminally ill patients and their families. We also offer grief and bereavement support and loaning medical equipment to the entire community of Port Angeles and Sequim. All services are free of charge.
Applicants will need to fill a volunteer application, pass a background check, and have an interview with the Volunteer Services Manager. Training is available. Attending the Community Education & Volunteer Training and the monthly In-services will be recommended.
