Therapeutic Touch (TT) and Reiki Volunteers Needed:Hospice

AccentCare, formerly known as Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, is looking for Reiki and Therapeutic Touch volunteers for our end-of-life patients. Reiki is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation. It is based on the Asian concept of life energy and is performed by the laying of hands and flow of energy. As a Reiki or Therapeutic Touch volunteer you will be asked to provide companionship, active listening, gentle Reiki or TT to patients and families navigating terminal illness. End-of-life TT and Reiki Practitioner volunteers are a part of the AccentCare "Circle of Care" program who promote comfort, relaxation, anxiety relief, and pain management. As a TT or Reiki Volunteer, it is important to remember that an openness to listen to the patient’s body, mind, and soul is vital in supporting them and their families through a terminal illness. Must have strong grounding work.

Certification in Therapeutic Touch or Reiki Level 2 Practitioner is required. Level 3 Reiki Practitioner preferred. Must be able to provide a copy of your certification. Orientation as a Hospice Volunteer will be provided free of charge.
