    Description

Board Member - Fundraising and Development Officer

    Join Our Board of Directors!

In many disaster-affected communities, short-term relief is well organized and highly visible. Long-term resiliency is not. Responsibilities become unclear, funding declines, public interests move on, and healthcare access problems persist without ownership. The Alliance for Resilience in Healthcare (ARHC, pronounced 'arc') was created to operate in that space.

Our mission is to help communities rebuild their healthcare systems stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to serve their communities after disasters. We focus on resilience rather than just restoring pre-disaster conditions, aiding communities in navigating true recovery and adopting long-term preventive solutions. ARHC is a growing nonprofit that welcomes volunteers and collaboration.

Board role needed: Fundraising and Development Officer

This is a working board, we are looking for fully engaged and committed Board members. This role supports ARHC’s fundraising and resilience-building efforts by identifying grant opportunities and assisting with the development of grant proposals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and research grant and foundation funding opportunities
    • Provide structure for drafting, reviewing, and editing grant proposals and letters of inquiry
    • Support grant tracking, deadlines, and reporting as needed
    • Participate in board meetings and contribute to fundraising efforts

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or fundraising
    • Strong written communication and editing skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment
    • Interest in healthcare, public health, resilience, or nonprofit work
