Description
Are you a newly licensed RN looking to gain hands-on clinical experience while making a difference in your community? Join our team at Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine (LVIM) and work alongside our Healthy Living Coach to support patients in diabetes prevention and management.
What You’ll Do
- Place Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) and assist patients in using them.
- Help with prescription processing for diabetic patients.
- Provide patient education on diabetes management and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Support the Healthy Living Coach during appointments and group events.
- Maintain spreadsheets and records for diabetic and prediabetic patients.
- Take part in community wellness initiatives and BayCare partnership activities.

Commitment

Qualifications
- Current RN license.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with professionalism, tact, and empathy.
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational abilities.
- Completion of LVIM’s Biomedical Waste Training Module (provided on site)
