    Description

    Volunteer Social Media & Marketing Specialist

    The Culture Collective is seeking a creative and reliable Volunteer Social Media & Marketing Specialist to help strengthen our digital presence and tell the story of our programs, partnerships, events, and community impact.

    This volunteer will support content planning and creation across The Culture Collective’s social media platforms and help us maintain a consistent, engaging, and community-centered voice. The role is a great fit for someone interested in social media, communications, digital marketing, graphic design, storytelling, or nonprofit branding.

    Our current work includes Sarah’s Basket, a year-round food and essential-needs initiative, and Culture Conversations, a recurring community dialogue and peer-support program.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Developing social media content and captions
    • Creating or assisting with graphics, flyers, and promotional materials
    • Supporting content calendars and campaign planning
    • Promoting upcoming programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and community resources
    • Highlighting program impact, partnerships, and community stories
    • Assisting with short-form video or photo content when appropriate
    • Monitoring engagement and helping identify content that resonates with our audience
    • Supporting basic marketing and outreach initiatives

    Ideal Volunteer:

    • Has experience or a strong interest in social media, marketing, communications, or content creation
    • Is comfortable using platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
    • Has strong writing and visual communication skills
    • Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus
    • Understands how to create content that feels professional, authentic, and community-centered
    • Is dependable and able to work independently with guidance from TCC leadership
