    About the Opportunity

    Put your professional experience to work for an adult learner.

    Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School is seeking Career Readiness Volunteers to support adult learners as they prepare for employment, career advancement, and new professional opportunities.

    Volunteers can share real-world experience while helping learners strengthen job-search, communication, career-planning, and workplace-readiness skills.

    Volunteer Responsibilities

    Depending on current program needs and your professional experience, volunteers may:

    • Support resume and cover letter development
    • Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback
    • Help learners prepare for job searches
    • Support career exploration and goal setting
    • Share workplace and professional-development knowledge
    • Help learners strengthen professional communication skills
    • Build learner confidence as they prepare for employment and career advancement

    What We’re Looking For

    You do not need to be a professional career counselor.

    We welcome volunteers from a variety of industries and professional backgrounds who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with adult learners.

    Strong candidates are:

    • Encouraging and comfortable working one-on-one with adults
    • Able to provide constructive, respectful feedback
    • Interested in workforce development, career readiness, or adult education
    • Willing to complete Academy of Hope’s volunteer onboarding process

    Volunteer placement is based on current program needs, volunteer readiness, schedule fit, and professional skills or experience.
