    Description

The Arthritis Foundation’s Raleigh Jingle Bell Run is a festive 5K where participants dress in holiday gear and raise funds to support people living with arthritis. We’re looking for an Event Experience Chair to help create a memorable, fun and engaging event-day experience!

This role is all about bringing creativity and community connections together—securing in-kind support, introducing festive elements, and building experiences that make the event truly memorable. There’s also the opportunity to build and lead a small committee to bring these ideas to life.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead the overall event-day experience, from energy and entertainment to participant engagement
    • Secure and manage in-kind donations (food trucks, refreshments, silent auction items, etc.)
    • Build community partnerships to bring in local bands, cheer teams, mascots, and other entertainment
    • Create engaging experiences like a kid zone, interactive activities, and festive on-site elements
    • Build and lead a subcommittee to support experience and outreach efforts (optional)Work with your Staff Partner to ensure all experience elements align with event goals and timelines.

    Who Can Volunteer:

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys event planning, community engagement, creativity, or bringing people together. No professional event experience is required — just enthusiasm, organization, and a passion for creating meaningful experiences.

    What You’ll Get:

    • Volunteer service hours
    • Opportunities to build community connections and leadership experience
    • A chance to use your creativity and talents to support a meaningful cause and the arthritis community in the Triangle
