Pigeon Rescue Volunteer

For domestically-raised pigeons being lost is a death sentence in most cases, as they are unable to feed themselves or navigate the dangers the great outdoors present.

We receive reports from people who have spotted a pigeon in need. Often it is not very difficult to catch these birds because most are simply too weak to fly or are injured. We have several areas in which we rely on volunteers for help:

• rescue pigeons
• pick up or receive pigeons who have already been contained
• transport contained pigeons to other volunteers
• overnight pigeons
