Radio Lollipop gives young patients a voice and a choice during their stay. While they can´t say "no" to taking their medicine or receiving treatment, they can request their favourite songs, win prizes and hear their own voices on the radio.
Each night we're on the air, we conduct a live radio broadcast for the patients to listen to and participate in. While we're on the air, volunteers will visit the patients on the floors and distribute a craft project for them to complete.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and out of high school and training will be provided. This is a one night a week commitment for 2.5 hours each week; attendance is required for at least 10 out of every 13 weeks.
