Description
Volunteer with Ohlone Humane Society's Pet Therapy program!
Interested in sharing your loving animal with those in need? Do you have an especially well-socialized animal companion who loves to interact with people? Become a volunteer therapy animal team-together, you and your companion animal can make a difference!
To become part of the team, you must be at least 18 years old and have a cat or dog more than 1 year old that you’ve owned for at least 6 months. All animals must be up to date on shots and veterinary exams.
- Complete Pet Partners team registration.
- Pass an Ohlone Humane Society Pet Therapy Program temperament evaluation of your pet.
- If you are seriously applying, please submit our volunteer form at https://forms.gle/qe11rFiEQ6uyrKEi6 to have your application forwarded to our program manager.
- Join the Ohlone Humane Society
- Complete a shadowing/mentoring session with your pet and one of our teams.
