    Key Responsibilities:

    • Attend and document at least 1-2 events per month
    • Capture high-quality, vertical photos and 10-15 second video clips (beginning, middle, and end) of events.
    • Ensure videos feature left-to-right panning and highlight guest experience and interaction
    • Work within set guidelines for photo and video styles to maintain consistency across content.
    • Please note that this position will not be responsible for posting content directly on our social media accounts.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Interest in content creation, photography, and/or videography.
    • Ability to capture events with a focus on storytelling.
    • Familiarity with Apple products and/or willingness to learn about vertical video formats and panning techniques.
    • A friendly, approachable demeanor to engage with guests and capture their interactions.
    • An interest in history and/or tourism is a plus, but not required!

    Benefits:

    • Gain hands-on content creation experience and enhance your photography/videography skills.
    • Volunteer in a fun, social environment with a global community.
    • Meet and learn from other Boston residents that also volunteer.
    • Learn about Boston's history and culture through exclusive HI USA programs.
    • Build skills in public speaking, languages, and intercultural communication.
    • Earn HI USA membership and hostel overnights*
    • Flexible schedule and training provided.
    • Have fun while making a difference!
    • Please note that HI USA does not offer work/trade or free accommodations in exchange for volunteering.
