    Volunteer Position: Deputy Director of Fundraising & Donor Management

    Job Overview:

    As the Deputy Director of Fundraising & Donor Management, you will be responsible for the financial side of VPMMA’s development. You will manage fundraising efforts, including grant writing and donor cultivation, to secure the financial resources needed to sustain and expand VPMMA's programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation and grant writing, to effectively support the organization's objectives.
    • Collaborate with the Treasurer to maximize donor engagement through effective donor management.
    • Secure sponsorship opportunities for events and programs.
    • Maintain a database of potential funders, sponsors, and partners to facilitate effective collaboration.
    • Assist in the creation of compelling sponsorship proposals.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all fundraising activities.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong experience and a proven track record in fundraising and donor management.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector, fundraising strategies, and grant writing.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
    • A passion for supporting veterans and military families.

    Position Details:

    • Type: Volunteer
    • Location: Remote
    • Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week
    • Reporting Structure: Reports to the President and executive officers.
