    Description

Launch your journey into the world of emerging technologies, global competitions, and education as a KBridge Apprentice.

The KBridge Apprenticeship Programme 2025/26 is a structured apprenticeship with the Königsberger Bridges Institute (KBI). Over the course of the programme, you’ll work with an international team to support real initiatives like the Emerging Technologies Olympiad and other flagship programmes that bring data science, blockchain, AI, and other emerging technologies to learners around the world.

As a KBridge Apprentice, you’ll join one main track that matches your interests and skills and be placed into a specific KBI team. You’ll receive scoped tasks with clear expectations, regular check‑ins with a supervisor or mentor, and opportunities to collaborate with peers across time zones.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

You’ll indicate your preferred tracks and focus areas in your application. We’ll match you based on fit, interest, and team capacity.

    Operations & Project Support

    • Support project management for events and programmes, including timelines, documentation, and coordination.
    • Assist with event operations, logistics, and participant support for international competitions.
    • Contribute to talent management processes and KBI’s wider talent network.

    Communications & Marketing

    • Draft and schedule digital content for social media, newsletters, and websites.
    • Assist with communication and marketing campaigns for flagship initiatives such as the Emerging Technologies Olympiad and related programmes.

    Technology & Product

    • Support development and maintenance of tools, platforms, or internal systems used by KBI teams and participants.
    • Work on software, blockchain, AI/ML, data, DevOps/QA, or IT support tasks depending on your skills.
    • Help test, document, and improve products used in competitions and learning experiences.
    • Assist with basic cybersecurity, reliability, or operations support where applicable.

    Education & Research

    • Contribute to curriculum design and learning materials related to emerging technologies and competitions.
    • Support course facilitation, workshops, or mentoring activities when appropriate.
    • Conduct desk research on topics such as AI, blockchain, data science, cybersecurity, or quantum computing, and summarise insights for internal use.
    • Help with knowledge management, documentation, and internal learning resources.

YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT HLP IF

You’re early in your journey and want to learn by doing. You might be a great fit if:

    • You’re currently a student or at an early stage of your career and want real, practical experience.
    • You’re curious about emerging technologies and passionate about education, access, and opportunity.
    • You’re comfortable working in English and collaborating with an international, remote team.
    • You can manage your time, balance apprenticeship responsibilities with other commitments, and pay attention to detail.

WHAT YOU WILL GET OUT OF IT

As a KBridge Apprentice, you will:

    • Work on real problems – Help deliver competitions, events, tools, and learning experiences used by students and partners around the world.
    • Build a tangible portfolio – Produce documents, dashboards, code, content, or teaching materials you can reference in future applications or interviews.
    • Grow with structured support – Benefit from orientation, regular feedback, and mid‑programme/final reviews.
    • Learn from mentors and peers – Join talks, workshops, and informal sessions with KBI staff, alumni, and invited guests where schedules allow.
    • Understand how a global non‑profit runs – Gain insight into how a lean, international organisation coordinates advanced technology competitions and programmes across regions.
