    Description

St. Petersburg International Folk Fair-Irish Village volunteers at the FAIR!

    Celebrate Irish culture and community-

be a part of the Irish Village at the 50th Celebration of the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair SPIFFS!

The Suncoast Irish organization is excited to once again represent Irish culture at the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair (SPIFFS), taking place March 5 - 7, 2026 and we need your help to make it a success once again!

We’re currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join us at the Irish Village, where we’ll share the spirit of Ireland through music, dance, storytelling, food, and cultural displays. Whether you're available for a few hours or perhaps the whole event, your time and enthusiasm would be greatly appreciated.

    Volunteer opportunities include:

    • Staffing the cultural booth - welcoming students, chaperons, parents & guests to the Irish Village at SPIFFS.
    • Stamping of SPIFFS Passports.
    • Assisting students and fair-goers with educational materials on display.
    • Supporting performers and presentations and INTERACTIVE activities.
    • Sharing the presented information about Irish heritage and traditions - as seen in the displays and posters at the Irish Village.
    • Assist at the souvenir/sales booth.
    • Helping with setup (Wed. Mar 4th, 2026) and load for transport (Sun. Mar 8th, 2026).

    Why Volunteer?

    • Celebrate Irish traditions in a lively multi-cultural festival atmosphere.
    • Meet new friends and enjoy traditional Irish music, dance, and great food.
    • Be part of a once-in-a-lifetime 50th celebration!
    • This is a fun and rewarding way to get involved with our community & celebrate Irish heritage with thousands of school children from 5 counties, as well as guests from around the world.
    • Your entry for the day will be included with your volunteer wristband so that you may enjoy the entire festival.
    • COMMUNITY CREDIT for students as we are a 501c3 not-for-profit community organization.

Go raibh maith agat (pronounced guh rev mah ah-gut) means "thank you" in Irish.

We hope to enjoy your company at future Suncoast Irish meet-ups and especially at this milestone event. Keep an eye on our website at suncoastirish.com & facebook page.

HERE IS A RECAP OF WHAT WE OFFER AT OUR EVENT to the school-children & the public:
