SHARE YOUR PASSION!
We are looking for volunteers who want to engage and inspire our guests in ways that make their visit fun and build their connections to the Zoo and the animals in our care!
Education Guides are responsible for communicating the education mission of the zoo using hands-on learning tools, such as artifacts, props, and games.
Discovery Guide Opportunities are available for the following areas: Africa, Big Cats, Flamingo, Seals & Sea Lions, and Tortoise
Time Committment after training: 1 shift (2.5 hours a month)

Volunteers interested in the Discovery Guide volunteer opportunity will need to go through the Volunteer Application/Onboarding Process and then attend 1 Discovery Guide Training Session, which consisted of 3 classes.

2026 volunteer orientations will take place: Feb 9, March 9, April 13, and May 11 at 5:30 pm via Zoom
Discovery Guide Training Sessions will take place on the following dates: Volunteers need to attend the 3 classes in the session to be considered trained
Session 1: March
March 12 at 5 pm
March 19 at 5 pm
March 21 at 12:00 pm
Session 2: April
April 4 at 9 am
April 9 at 5 pm
Apirl 11 at 12:30 pm
