    Description

    Role Overview:

AAFE is launching a new high school program that gives students opportunities to engage with global issues, build leadership skills, and support meaningful causes. Through this program, high schools across the United States and Canada can launch student-led projects such as fundraising events, awareness campaigns, creative problem-solving initiatives, or cultural exchange activities that directly support Afghan students.

We are seeking passionate Outreach Coordinators (Ambassadors) to help build this network by recruiting new high schools to participate. Ambassadors will introduce educators and school communities to this global learning opportunity and inspire them to join a cohort that connects students with AAFE’s mission.

Your outreach will help students interact with the world beyond their classroom, gain leadership experience, and make a tangible impact on the lives of Afghan children.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Learn in depth about AAFE’s programs, mission, and impact to effectively communicate our work to high schools.
    • Identify and reach out to high schools (teachers, administrators, or other school leaders) that may be interested in partnering with AAFE.
    • Share the purpose of the program in clear and engaging terms.
    • Conduct outreach through email, calls, virtual presentations, or in-person visits when possible.
    • Guide interested schools through the process of joining the program and launching a project with their students.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with educators and school communities to encourage sustained engagement.
    • Track your outreach efforts and provide regular updates to the AAFE volunteer team.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Enthusiasm for education, youth leadership, global citizenship, or nonprofit work.
    • Comfort presenting or speaking with school staff.
    • Self-directed and organized, able to manage outreach independently.
    • Ability to communicate cross-culturally with sensitivity and respect.
    • Outreach, education, community engagement, or sales experience is helpful but not required.

    Commitment:

    • Minimum 3–10 hours per week, depending on availability and organizational needs.
    • This is a volunteer role with flexibility to adapt around your schedule.

    What You Gain:

    • Direct involvement in expanding educational access for Afghan students.
    • Hands-on experience in outreach, partnership development, and nonprofit program expansion, while contributing to a global cause that transforms lives.
    • Experience in outreach, partnership development, and nonprofit program expansion.
    • Opportunities to connect with educators and volunteers committed to global learning and social impact.
    • A flexible volunteer role with meaningful and measurable results.
