Living between two cultures is one of the most complicated, beautiful, and underrepresented human experiences in the world.

The feeling of never quite belonging in either place. The internal translation that never stops. The food that takes you home in one breath. The question at family reunions — 'so when are you coming back?' — that has no good answer. The version of yourself that only exists in the language of your parents.

SoYouAmI™ is a global community platform built by Invicta Child Foundation. The Diaspora Voice is for every person navigating life between more than one world — and willing to share what that actually feels like from the inside.

Here is what Diaspora Voices do:

• Share the real, unfiltered experience of diaspora life — the grief and the gratitude, the belonging and the alienation
• Post stories that give people from your home country and your adopted country a genuine window into each other
• Connect with other diaspora members on the platform and create a community within the community
• Invite other members of your diaspora community to join SoYouAmI™
• Help the foundation understand what stories and spaces diaspora communities need most from this platform

This is especially for:

• Anyone who grew up in one country and lives in another
• People who are first or second generation in their current country
• Anyone whose identity is spread across more than one place, language, or world
• People from Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, Eastern Europe — or anywhere — living somewhere else
