    Description

    DUTIES

    • Volunteers will assist with fundraising events throughout the year.
    • Volunteers will work at fundraising events, on an as scheduled basis.
    • Volunteers will complete tasks as assigned by the WomenSafe
    • representative, and/or Committee Chair, of the fundraising event.
    • Volunteers will provide socialization to event attendees by engaging in light conversation.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Volunteers must be dependable to work scheduled shifts.
    • Volunteers must have a pleasant disposition and the ability to work with a variety of people on a team approach.

    TRAINING

    • Volunteers must attend the mandatory volunteer orientation/training session. Topics include: why victims stay, predictors of a potential abuser, personalized safety planning, client rights and confidentiality, and agency protocol.
    • Volunteers must also attend any other trainings that are recommended by a WomenSafe Representative that correspond with the volunteer work being completed.

    SUPERVISION

    • Volunteers assisting with fundraising events will be supervised by the WomenSafe representative, and/or Committee Chair, in charge of the fundraising event.
