Student Volunteers & Leadership Team Members — Brain Health Advocacy | NuroHope

    About NuroHope

NuroHope is a youth-led nonprofit organization based in Hillsborough, New Jersey, dedicated to making brain health and neuroscience more accessible to our communities. We work to raise awareness and understanding of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, ADHD, and other neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions through education, advocacy, community outreach, and youth engagement.

We are looking for motivated high school students, as well as college students, who want to make a meaningful difference while developing leadership, communication, teamwork, and project-management skills.

    Volunteer and Leadership Opportunities

Depending on your interests and experience, you may contribute to:

    • Research & Education: Help develop accessible educational resources about brain health and neuroscience.
    • Social Media & Communications: Assist with awareness campaigns, educational posts, and digital outreach.
    • Community Outreach & Partnerships: Help connect NuroHope with schools, community organizations, healthcare professionals, and potential partners.
    • Events & Fundraising: Assist with awareness events, fundraising activities, and community programs.
    • Leadership & Project Coordination: Take ownership of projects, coordinate volunteers, and help plan initiatives.
    • General Volunteering: Support ongoing projects and contribute ideas based on your interests and skills.

Leadership opportunities may be available for students interested in taking on additional responsibility. Specific roles and responsibilities will be discussed during the application process.

    Who We're Looking For

We welcome students who are passionate about community service, brain health, neuroscience, public health, education, advocacy, or nonprofit work. You do not need to have a background in neuroscience or healthcare.

Ideal volunteers are reliable, communicative, willing to learn, and able to collaborate with a team. We especially encourage high school students to apply, and college students are welcome to express interest as well.

    Time Commitment

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity designed to accommodate students' academic schedules. Time commitments and responsibilities will vary depending on the role and current projects.

    • Experience contributing to a youth-led nonprofit
    • Opportunities to develop leadership and teamwork skills
    • Experience in outreach, education, communications, events, or fundraising
