Twice a year, the Howard County Conservancy offers free training to volunteers who are interested in learning how to lead field trip hikes at our Mt. Pleasant location, in Woodstock, MD. The spring 2026 training sessions will take place on the following dates in March. All classroom sessions run from 9-12 and begin with coffee and conversation. The only requirements are a passion for nature, a desire to share your knowledge of the natural world with children, and daytime availability for field trips.
