    SelfSoulLiberate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving health equity and reducing stigma surrounding mental health in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to provide educational resources, develop sustainable wellness frameworks, and make care more accessible.

    Role Description: Animation Program Lead (Volunteer – Technical Focus)

    We are seeking an experienced and organized Animation Program Lead with technical ability to support and guide the launch of our Animation Program. This volunteer role plays a central part in coordinating creative efforts, supporting technical workflows, and ensuring the program develops smoothly during its startup phase.

    This is a 6-9 month minimum commitment, with the opportunity to renew. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining leadership, technology, and creative collaboration in a mission-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and coordination for the animation program during its startup phase.
    • Support and guide animators and script writers on technical and workflow-related matters.
    • Help establish tools, processes, and timelines for animation and content production.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align creative output with program goals and organizational messaging.
    • Review and provide feedback on animated content and scripts to ensure quality and consistency.
    • Support basic troubleshooting related to animation or AI-assisted tools as needed.
    • Track progress across projects and help ensure deadlines are met.
    • Contribute to documentation and process improvements for future program cycles.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in animation, digital media, or creative technology.
    • Comfort with technical tools and workflows, including AI-assisted creative tools.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to coordinate across creative and non-creative team members.
    • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
    • Prior experience leading projects or creative teams is an asset.
    • Interest in mission-driven, educational, or mental health–focused content is strongly valued.
