    Possible Remote Volunteer Roles

    Role

    What They Could Do Remotely

    Social media & Marketing

    Create or schedule posts, manage social media accounts, make content (graphics, short videos), raise awareness globally about the project.

    Fundraising / Grant Writing

    Research international grant opportunities, help write grant proposals, help crowd‑fund campaigns, and manage donor relations.

    Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

    Help design simple metrics or tracking systems, data entry/analysis (if locals are collecting data), and report writing.

    Teaching / Education Support

    Produce educational materials (online), help with adult learning (e.g. sustainable agriculture theory), children’s environmental education content.

    Videography / Storytelling

    Collect stories, edit videos (if remote footage or local smartphone footage can be shared), write stories/blog posts, take photographs, and make newsletters.

    Water Management / Agroforestry Advice

    If someone has technical knowledge (even basic), they can do remote advising, prepare training modules, and conduct literature reviews.

    Regenerative Agriculture / Composting Advice

    Sharing best practices, preparing guides, and remote mentoring/support for farmers.

    Volunteer Opportunity – Remote Support for Chipembere Ecosystem Restoration, Malawi

    Chipembere Community Development Organisation (CCDO) is looking for remote volunteers outside of Malawi who are passionate about environmental restoration, community development, and sustainable livelihoods. No formal qualifications are required—just a willingness to share what you know and to support our efforts from wherever you are.

    About Us

    We are restoring degraded land in T/A Mbawela, Thyolo District, southern Malawi, through tree‐planting, erosion control, agroforestry, strengthening conservation bylaws, entrepreneurship training, and more. We have restored over 123 hectares and planted ~270,000 trees since 2020. Ecosystem Restoration Communities

    What We Need Help With (Remote Roles):

      • Fundraising / grant research & writing
      • Social media, marketing, awareness campaigns
      • Monitoring & evaluation of project impact
      • Creating content: videos, stories, blogs, educational materials
      • Technical support in water management, regenerative agriculture, composting
      • Teaching or workshops (online) for adults or children
