    Description

    Teach social skills in after school setting (Buckeye-Shaker)

    Do you enjoy spending time with children?

    Your help is needed to support the work of an after school program located inside a Buckeye Shaker neighborhood church.

    You would

    • Assist facilitator with teaching social skill activities (i.e. self esteem artwork projects, teamwork games, group discussions)
    • Help elementary age students with literacy assignments (reading, writing and spelling)
    • Give students snacks/meals
    • Help with set up/clean up of arts and crafts
    • Assist with keeping the students engaged and on task

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in the education/child care field or general experience working with children
    • A passion for working with youth
    • Kind, fun, patient and caring individual

    Days and times needed:

    Our programming meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 2 - 6 pm. Volunteers can sign up for as few or as many hours as they would like.
