About the Role
Movement and mobility are essential to health, but many of our patients can't afford the physical therapy they need. As a volunteer physical therapist, you'll help patients recover from injury, manage chronic pain, and regain function.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy, exercise instruction, and mobility training
- Educate patients on home exercises and injury prevention
- Coordinate with other clinic providers on shared patients as needed
Who We're Looking For
- Licensed Physical Therapist (DPT or equivalent), in good standing; we can also provide licensure support through the Washington Healthcare Access Alliance (WHAA) for retired providers
- Comfortable working with a medically underserved, diverse patient population
- Warm, patient communication style; comfortable working with interpreters when needed
