    About Us:

    Aid Afghanistan for Education (AAFE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized Afghan women and girls through education. Our mission is to unlock the potential of young marginalized Afghans through education as a means to prepare them to fully participate in society.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to join our team and provide essential support in identifying funding opportunities and supporting the grant application process. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and skilled in research and grant writing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Research and Funding Identification:
      • Identify and vet potential funding opportunities.
      • Study AAFE’s programs to understand our initiatives and effectively communicate them to potential funders.
      • Compile a manageable list of suitable funding sources and calls for proposals.
    2. Grant Writing and Application Support:
      • Collaborate with the team to develop grant applications and letters of interest.
      • Assist in crafting compelling narratives that highlight AAFE’s impact and vision.
    3. Administrative Support:
      • Monitor funding deadlines to ensure timely submission of applications.
      • Provide support to the finance manager.
      • Perform general administrative tasks to support the team’s fundraising efforts.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong research skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Experience in grant writing or non-profit development.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • A strong commitment and genuine interest in AAFE’s mission and values.

    Commitment:

    • Minimum 5–10 hours per week, depending on availability and organizational needs.
    • Flexible schedule with opportunities for long-term involvement.
