The Texas Railway Preservation Association (TRPA) is seeking a Digital Content Producer & Visual Storyteller. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand Strategy & Retail Operations, you will be the primary visual architect of our "Apple Garage" phase.
Your mission is to transform heavy industrial restoration into cinematic art. You will be on-site for restoration sorties, merchandise drops, and community events, capturing the high-fidelity imagery and video that defines the TRPA brand. We are looking for a creator who understands that the SP 982 isn't just a machine—it’s a protagonist. Your content will be the primary bridge between our mechanical work and our global audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Production & Capture: Lead on-site content "sorties" to capture high-resolution photography and 4K video of mechanical restoration, volunteer leadership, and site developments.
- Cinematic Editing: Produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) and long-form "behind-the-scenes" features that adhere to the TRPA "Blue Ambient" aesthetic—moody, industrial, and prestigious.
- Merchandise Storytelling: Collaborate with the Brand Director to produce "lookbook" style content for TRPA apparel and footwear drops, ensuring our retail products look as iconic as our locomotives.
- Narrative Design: Translate complex engineering updates from the CMO into compelling visual stories that the layman can understand and get excited about.
- Asset Optimization: Ensure all content is formatted for maximum impact across Instagram, LinkedIn, and the TRPA website, maintaining a consistent "Institutional" quality.
Professional Requirements
- Visual Pedigree: A strong portfolio in photography and videography, ideally focusing on industrial, automotive, or high-end lifestyle content.
- Technical Suite Mastery: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, and After Effects (or high-level mobile equivalents like CapCut/VSCO).
- The "TRPA Eye": An innate understanding of lighting and composition; you know how to make rust look historic and polished steel look powerful.
- Adaptability: You are as comfortable in a grit-filled workshop as you are at a high-end corporate gala.
- Mission Alignment: A passion for industrial history and a drive to build a visual legacy that matches the massive scale of the SP 982.
The TRPA Advantage
You have the keys to a 200-ton set piece. You won't just be "making posts"—you will be directing the visual narrative of a rising Texas landmark. This is a rare opportunity to build a world-class portfolio of industrial and lifestyle content while helping to save a piece of history.
