    About Rooted Interiors

    Rooted Interiors is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to designing and fully furnishing families’ homes as they transition from homelessness to permanent housing. Our mission is to create nurturing environments that foster stability and renewal, allowing families to thrive in their new beginnings.

    Role Overview

    As the Social Media Specialist, you will serve as a passionate representative of Rooted Interiors, helping to promote our mission, engage with the community, raise awareness of our organization through branding and social media engagement with potential partners and sponsors, and advocate for the families we support. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about non-profit work, advocating for people transitioning out of unstable housing situations, and utilizing social media and marketing strategies to represent a brand and voice.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, create, and publish content on social media platforms
    • Curate content in multiple formats, including text, copywriting, video, images, charts and diagrams
    • Utilize social media to advance and solidify brand name, voice, and mission
    • Devise strategy for audience engagement
    • Monitor existing social media channels and analyze effectiveness of campaigns
    • Stay current with trends and algorithm needs for peak social media performance

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of experience in social media management (or a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in social media management, digital marketing, public relations, communications, or a similar field)
    • Experience with multiple social media platforms, including (but not limited to) Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.
    • Comfortable taking ownership of multiple social media projects or initiatives simultaneously
    • Knowledge of digital marketing or social media branding strategy
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with ambassadors, donators, staff, and potential partners
    • Demonstrates creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and compassion for our cause
