    Description

    Meals on Wheels for Northern Illinois is urgently seeking compassionate volunteer delivery drivers to help deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors in Lemont. Your time behind the wheel can make a powerful difference-ensuring neighbors receive not only a warm meal, but a friendly smile and a safety check.

    Responsibilities include picking up pre-packaged meals at 9:30 a.m., delivering along a pre-planned route and offering a brief, friendly greeting to each senior.

    Drivers must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of auto insurance, and pass a background check. Dependability and punctuality are also strongly desired.

    Drivers are needed on Fridays and training is offered for volunteers. This opportunity is ideal for individuals, retirees and couples.
