Food Pantry Volunteers for Share Ourselves

Our volunteers take part in essential services in providing care and assistance to those in need. At Share Ourselves, we believe in the power of individuals coming together to create meaningful impact in the community. Since our founding in 1970, our dedicated volunteers have been instrumental in our service delivery, leaving a legacy of compassion. Food Pantry Volunteers help with food instability in our community. Your support provides essential services in providing care and assistance to those in need.

Duties include

• Sorting food donations
• Sorting and assembling food bags

Requires excellent teamwork skills, empathy and non-judgmental attitude, and ability to work calmly with individuals experiencing high crisis and anxiety in their lives.

Shifts:

• 3 hours shifts Monday -Friday
• Volunteers volunteer for 1 shift a week for a minimum of 3 month

Volunteers work together in the social services area. Work may include reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, and walking.

Youth age 16 and 17 may volunteer with an adult volunteering with them. One adult may chaperone up to five youth.

All volunteers must attend an online orientation to learn about our different volunteer opportunities, procedures, volunteer scheduling, and answer your questions.
