GARC operates a spay/neuter assistance program to help families afford sterilization services for their pets through partnered local veterinarians. This program reduces unwanted litters and prevents future homeless pets. Assistance amounts vary based on each family’s ability to pay — GARC may cover some or all of the surgery costs.
Responsibilities
- Review and call spay/neuter assistance applicants to verify information and determine eligibility
- Coordinate veterinary appointments between approved applicants and affiliated clinics
- Collect initial deposit payments when required
- Send appointment reminders to applicants to ensure attendance and follow‑through
What This Role Means to GARC
This position is essential to reducing pet overpopulation and preventing animals from entering shelters or becoming homeless. By coordinating this program, you help GARC:
- Prevent future homeless pets by ensuring animals are sterilized
- Support families in need who otherwise could not afford spay/neuter services
- Strengthen relationships with local veterinary partners
- Reduce intake pressure on shelters and rescues
- Promote responsible pet ownership within the community
Your work directly impacts long‑term animal welfare in Sapulpa and surrounding areas — helping GARC save lives before animals ever reach crisis situations.
