    SelfSoulLiberate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving health equity and reducing stigma surrounding mental health in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to provide educational resources, develop sustainable wellness frameworks, and make care more accessible.

    Role Description:

    We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Mentorship Program Lead to play a key role in our mentorship initiative. This volunteer position focuses on direct engagement with participants and supporting the successful delivery of the mentorship experience under the guidance of the Program Supervisor.

    This is a 9-12 month minimum commitment, with the opportunity to renew. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy mentorship, facilitation, and community-building, and who want to contribute meaningfully to a structured, mission-driven program.

    Key Responsibilities / Tasks

    • Support the day-to-day functioning of the mentorship program in collaboration with the Program Supervisor.
    • Act as a point of contact for mentors and mentees for routine questions and guidance.
    • Assist with participant onboarding, orientation sessions, and program communications.
    • Help facilitate group check-ins, community-building activities, or structured discussions.
    • Monitor participant engagement and flag concerns or challenges to the Program Supervisor.
    • Encourage accountability and participation among mentors and mentees.
    • Support documentation related to attendance, engagement, and feedback.
    • Contribute ideas to improve the mentorship experience and overall program flow.

    Qualifications

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build rapport and foster a supportive, inclusive environment.
    • Organized and reliable, with the ability to follow established program guidelines.
    • Comfortable working independently within a remote team structure.
    • Prior experience as a mentor, peer leader, facilitator, or volunteer is an asset but not required.
    • Interest in mentorship, personal development, mental health, or community support is highly valued.
