    Description

    Want to volunteer for a great cause? Here is your chance! We at Trauma Speaks are looking for a volunteer content creator that will be in charge of our organization's blog. Get creative and support our non-profit organization in growing.

    Qualifications:

    Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with our audience and collaboration partners.

    Ability to conduct thorough research and collaborate with mental health professionals

    Strong writing and storytelling abilities, especially in the mental health and trauma space

    Experience using credible and scholarly articles (ie JSTOR, Google Scholar, etc.)

    Ability to manage a fast-paced, audience focused workplace.

    Strong time-management skills.

    Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver content to the set deadline.

    At least interested in volunteering with us for atleast 6 months.

    Deep understanding of trauma recovery, mental health practices, and the challenges faced by trauma survivors

    Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental tone in writing

    Experience within the mental health field is a bonus

    Knowledge of APA format is a bonus (or willingness to learn APA format)

    Responsibilities:

    Create mental health content for our blog on a bi-weekly basis backed by evidence-based research (references cited must be recent research - within 5 years)

    Create content and help the project committee team in case of events

    Attend meetings and send weekly check-ins to manager

    Content Editing and Proofreading: Ensure that blog posts are clear, error-free, and aligned with Trauma Speaks’ tone and values.

    Audience Engagement: Develop content that resonates with a wide audience, including trauma survivors, caregivers, and professionals in the mental health field. Engage with readers by responding to comments, answering questions, and fostering a supportive online community.
