Volunteer in Agroforestry and Natural Building
Nestled high in the mountains of Brazil's verdant Atlantic Forest, Eco Caminhos is a farm dedicated to creating a sustainable future through innovative agroforestry and natural building (bioconstruction) practices. We are looking for passionate volunteers to join us for 1 to 12 weeks to help us grow and build a better world.
What You'll Do
As a volunteer, you can choose to focus on one or both of our main projects:
- Agroforestry: Help us cultivate abundant, organic produce while regenerating the land. Our current focus is on integrating shade-grown coffee into our diverse agroforestry systems. You will get hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture and land management.
- Natural Building (Bioconstruction): Participate in the construction of beautiful, eco-friendly homes that work in harmony with nature. We utilize natural and local materials to create energy-efficient buildings with integrated waste management systems. Our current major project is building a new home for a permaculture school on our farm.
Experience More Than Just Work
Your time at Eco Caminhos is also an opportunity for adventure and personal growth. You will have the chance to:
- Explore the breathtaking Atlantic Forest with activities like hiking and swimming in stunning waterfalls.
- Immerse yourself in Brazilian culture and learn Portuguese.
- Develop new culinary skills by cooking with fresh, organic ingredients from our farm.
- Connect with like-minded people and build lasting friendships with fellow volunteers from around the globe.
