BRC is a leading housing provider and services to thousands of New York City's individuals in need by providing outreach to homeless people living in public spaces, drug treatment, mental health care, comprehensive medical services, vocational services, and supportive communities in which to live. BRC succeeds by building trust with the people we serve; listening, acting, and providing temporary and permanent housing.
To foster a sense of community, we provide engaging, social, and fun activities beyond the scope of our clinical efforts, and we look to our volunteers to lead the charge.
Do you enjoy arts & crafts? Or is yoga more your style? Perhaps you like to fill your time with creative writing, meditation, stretching, poetry, or another hobby? If any of these brings you a little joy or relaxation, why not share your interests with our clients at the BRC Eastside Stabilization program in midtown Manhattan? P
These would take place at 161 Lexington Avenue on a daytime weekly or biweekly basis on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, or even in the early evening at 6 or 6:30pm.
Any/all potential volunteers must complete a New Volunteer Registration form, which can be found on our website at www.brc.org/volunteer. Once received, you will be sent an invitation to participate in an orientation via Zoom.
