Volunteer Community Educator – Alzheimer’s Association (Williams & Defiance Counties)
Details
Description
Help bring critical Alzheimer’s education and support to families in your community. As a Volunteer Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association, you’ll empower individuals with knowledge, resources, and hope.
We are currently expanding our outreach efforts in Williams and Defiance counties where access to education and support is especially important. This is a flexible, community-based volunteer role—meaning you’ll serve in your own local area rather than traveling to our Maumee office.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver 1–2 educational presentations per month (in-person or virtual)
- Present to community groups such as churches, workplaces, and senior organizations
- Use provided materials and training—no content creation required
Time Commitment
Initial onboarding includes approximately 1–4 hours of self-paced training. After that, most volunteers contribute 2–4 hours per month with flexible scheduling.
Who This Is Great For
- Individuals who enjoy public speaking or connecting with groups
- Retired professionals (teachers, nurses, social workers)
- Anyone passionate about supporting those impacted by Alzheimer’s
No prior experience is required—we provide all training, materials, and ongoing support to help you feel confident in this role.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back and make a real difference in your community, we’d love to connect with you.
