    Description

    Technical Project Coordinator/Manager

About the Project: We are building the "Community Lens," a strategic ecosystem of applications for the Information Age. As our team of 30+ volunteer researchers/developers continues to grow, we are looking for a Technical Coordinator / Tech Lead to help us manage our development workflow and ensure our projects are scalable and robust.

Your Role: You will be the bridge between our Founder’s vision and our developer team. Your job is to take our high-level ideas and turn them into clear technical tasks. You will also help us set up better ways for the team to collaborate, share progress, and maintain high standards.

    What you will do:

    • Organize the work: Help us turn project goals into manageable technical tasks.
    • Set the standards: Help the team follow consistent rules for coding and collaboration.
    • Improve our workflow: Help us set up better tools and processes, like issue tracking and code reviews, to keep the project organized as we scale.

    Who we are looking for:

    • Development Experience: You have experience working in a development team and understand how software projects function.Experience with languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Java, or C++ is highly valued.
    • Willingness to lead: You don’t need to have been a Project Manager or Tech Lead before. This is a great opportunity if you are a developer looking to pivot into a leadership role and gain experience managing a team.
    • Proactive & Resourceful: You don't need to be an expert in project management. We value your ability to research, find solutions, and apply industry best practices to our workflow.
    • Strong Communicator: You are comfortable working with a diverse, global team. You can clearly translate ideas into technical requirements and keep everyone on the same page.
    • Organized: You have a good eye for structure and want to help us implement better ways of working.

It is clear we need standardization, coordination, quality controls and more.
