    Organization: For the Breast of Us

    Location: Virtual

    About Us:

    For the Breast of Us is the first inclusive community created by and for women of color impacted by breast cancer. We exist to amplify voices, reimagine survivorship, and build sisterhood through advocacy, education, and community support.

    Role Overview:

    We’re looking for a PR volunteer to help us share our story with the world. You’ll build relationships with media outlets, draft press releases, and pitch stories that highlight the experiences and voices of women of color.

    Responsibilities:

    • Draft press releases and media advisories
    • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets
    • Help us secure coverage for campaigns and events like Breast Cancer BaddieCon
    • Support reputation management and messaging consistency

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Strong writing and communication skills
    • Experience in PR, communications, or media relations
    • Passion for health equity and amplifying diverse voices
