CNY Art Guild President Search

The CNY Art Guild, Inc. has a volunteer opportunity for president of our guild. We are a non-profit organization with a membership of 59 artists and creatives in the CNY area.

The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors (BOD) of the CNY Art Guild and of the members. Subject to the authority of the BOD, the President shall have general charge of the business of the CNY Art Guild.

To the extent a newly elected president is not a member of the BOD of the CNY Art Guild, election as president shall result in automatic election as a new director of the BOD of the CNY Art Guild. Shall also be empowered to sign all checks when the treasurer or vice president are not available. All contracts shall be signed by the President and the Treasurer as authorized by the BOD to sign contracts on behalf of the CNY Art Guild. Shall maintain and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual and the smooth transition of outgoing/incoming Executive Officers. In an effort to retain and renew members the Vice President and President shall share the responsibility of personally contacting each lapsed member with a phone call at the beginning of each membership year and will follow up as needed.
