Computer Basics Workshop Helper
Details
Description
Would you like to encourage technological literacy in our community?
Join us in our mission to reach those who may struggle with technology and computer skills, which has become a critically essential skill in today's increasingly digital world. Empower an adult learner today by providing assistance during our Career Basics workshop, helping learners as they practice fundamental computer skills under the direction of the Literacy team and volunteer workshop presenter.
Our Computer Basics Workshop Series are held semi-annually. Our upcoming season is scheduled to be held on the first and third Thursdays of the month, during the months of September to November from 6-7:30pm.
As a program helper you will be asked to:
- Have basic computer knowledge
- Provide one-on-one support to participants during the program
- Be able to commit to two hours every other week, for the duration of the three month series.
For more information, please email Literacy@simivalleylibrary.org. And if you cannot assist with our current run of the series, you may still apply in order to be placed on the list for next season's program run.
