    Description

    Children's Program Volunteer

Children's Program Volunteers spend time with children residing in our Domestic Violence Safe House located in Arlington, VA. Volunteers play games, help with homework, and otherwise engage in healthy & fun activities. The goal is for the kids to take their minds off their trauma and provide parents the opportunity to relax or attend meetings on-site. Shifts are typically Mondays and Wednesday evenings, 1.5 hours each. The shelter is a secure location, about a 10-minute walk from orange/silver lines. Interested? Submit an application at this link: https://www.volgistics.com/appform/689890777.

Now recruiting for our Spring Cohort - to begin in April 2026.

Volunteers must be 18+, complete 40 hours of training on 1-2x evenings a week, and submit background checks before beginning. One year commitment required (2 shifts/month). Bilingual (including English and Spanish) applicants especially encouraged to apply.
