    We ask for at least a 1-year commitment, with the possibility of 3 years. You will work with the same students the entire time you are a mentor.

    Description

    Mentor a Detroit Student!

    Mentors draw upon their own college experience to guide students through choosing the right college and help with navigating the application process. Mentors act as role models for the students, providing them with individual support and encouragement.

    Mentos whelp with:

    • Exploring career paths
    • Map out three-year plans
    • Evaluate summer prep programs
    • Narrow down on potential schools
    • Work on soft skills

    This takes place every other Saturday from 1:00 - 2:30. Each session has a specific topic to cover with the students to keep everyone engaged.

    Minds Matter Detroit is a college prep program that helps low-income students get into their best fit college through SAT prep, mentoring, and summer enrichment programs.
