Recovery Begins with Relationship
What if the most important thing a woman in recovery needed wasn't another program—but a friend?
At OpenDoor Women's Recovery Alliance, we believe lasting recovery happens through belonging. Women recovering from addiction, trauma, exploitaton and reentry following incarceration are paired with a team of trained volunteers who simply show up each week to walk alongside them as they rebuild their lives.
You don't need to be a counselor or have all the answers. You simply need compassion, consistency, and a willingness to build a genuine relationship.
As an OpenDoor volunteer, you'll become part of a small support team that meets weekly with one woman for about an hour. Together, you'll celebrate victories, navigate challenges, connect her to community resources, and remind her she doesn't have to face recovery alone.
If you've been looking for a meaningful way to make a lasting impact in your community, we'd love to meet you.
Because healing begins with friendship.
