    Description

    Volunteer UX Designer - Universal Design Team

    Are you passionate about creating inclusive and user-centered design solutions? Do you enjoy collaborating with teams to establish design standards and improve user experiences? If so, we’d love for you to join our Universal Design Team as a UX Designer!

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the development and refinement of the Universal Design System.
    • Conduct UX research to inform design decisions and improve accessibility.
    • Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to implement design best practices.
    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to enhance usability.
    • Document design guidelines and ensure consistency across projects.
    • Design graphic user interface elements.
    • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how product features look and function.

    Requirements:

    • Passion for universal and inclusive design principles.
    • Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with design systems and user research methods is a plus.

    Commitment:

    • This is a volunteer position with a commitment of 5-10 hours per week.
    • Fully remote, offering flexible scheduling.

    Additional Information

    • This is an unpaid volunteer position.
    • We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or documentation support (including OPT, CPT, or other work authorization forms) for non-U.S. citizens.
    • Team members are expected to attend weekly collaboration sessions, which typically take place Wednesday between 7-9pm and Sunday between 11-4pm (U.S. Eastern Time). Please ensure that you're available during this window before applying.
