    Immediate Need for Board Members

    Are you passionate about students achieving academic and career success? Do you believe in the power of education, mentoring, and career development? We're seeking members from our community to join the board of our dynamic youth nonprofit organization!

    We're committed to providing students with learning disabilities and differences in Grades 1 – 12 with academic support, resources, parental support, and opportunities that they need to achieve success in life. Through our innovative programs, we offer one-on-one tutorials, group seminars, parental empowerment classes and resources to ensure the student receives the necessary school accommodation.

    As a board member, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization and making a positive impact on the lives of our students. You'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, insights, and networks to further our mission.

    We're particularly seeking individuals with experience in areas such as:

    • Education
    • Youth Development
    • Mentorship
    • Nonprofit Management
    • Fundraising and Development
    • Previous Board Experience
    • Marketing and Communications
    • Administrative management
    • Strong communications
    • Strategic and critical thinker
    • Youth champion

    We are especially in need of a Board Secretary and a Fundraiser Lead, two vital roles that will help strengthen our board operations and expand our impact.

    Candidates will attend meetings six times a year, actively participate in community events and programs, fundraise, assist with strategic planning, chair/sit on committees, and perform other governance responsibilities.

    Candidates are/are not required to be local to Houston and its surrounding cities.
