Location: Remote (US Resident preferred)
Time Commitment: 3-Month Commitment, minimum
Role Overview
Got a knack for building relationships and turning conversations into meaningful opportunities? YesLiberia is looking for a personable, proactive, and creative Partnerships Outreach and Engagement Associate Intern to help transform prospective contacts into engaged partners and long-term supporters.
In this role, you’ll conduct outreach, communicate with prospective and existing partners, support partnership meetings, and help maintain strong relationships with corporations, NGOs, Rotary chapters, schools, universities, and student organizations. You’ll also help communicate the impact of YesLiberia’s work and keep partners connected to the mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner Outreach: Conduct personalized email, LinkedIn, and other outreach to prospective corporate, nonprofit, Rotary, school, university, and student partners.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing partners through consistent communication and follow-up.
- Pitching & Presentations: Help prepare and present partnership materials, pitch decks, one-pagers, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Partner Stewardship: Send regular impact updates, thank-you messages, check-in emails, and other communications to existing partners.
- Meeting Support: Attend virtual partner calls, take structured notes, document next steps, and support post-meeting follow-ups.
- Impact Storytelling: Work with the Liberia team to gather stories, photos, program updates, and key metrics that can be shared with partners.
- Partner Recognition: Support efforts to recognize and highlight partners through newsletters, social media, events, and other communication channels.
- Event Support: Help plan and support virtual partner meetings, donor appreciation events, webinars, and community engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional, and engaging tone.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with new contacts.
- Strong interpersonal and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in or willing to learn Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Basic skills in storytelling, social media, newsletters, or digital communications.
- Organized, reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple conversations and follow-up activities.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Interest in nonprofit partnerships, fundraising, communications, or international development.
