    Job Description:

    The Community Engagement – Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of community engagement strategies, outreach initiatives, and planning activities that align with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate should be proactive and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Plan town hall/city formats, agendas, and schedules aligned with project objectives
    • Select and coordinate venues, accessibility requirements, materials, and logistics
    • Ensure events are inclusive, trauma-informed, and community-friendly
    • Assist with facilitation or moderation as needed
    • Document lessons learned from each event and report to Team Lead
    • Plan small and large-scale events in alignment with project goals and objectives
    • Ensure all actions support the non-profits mission
    • Deliver each town hall/city hall plan on time and ensure accessibility requirements are met
    • Report logistics challenges and solutions to Team Lead

    Required Experience / Skills:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or College or Diploma in related field.

    Experience & Skills

    • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
    • Experience in event planning, community engagement, social sciences, public health, or related fields
    • Experience coordinating accessible and inclusive events
    • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to deal with uncertainty in project and work with diverse populations
