    October 24th — Halloween Festival

    Our Mission

To ensure access to fresh, healthy food for the Black community, end food apartheid, and build sustainable community commerce by strengthening relationships with Black farmers and vendors — advancing a real path toward African self-reliance and self-determination.

    Why Volunteer?

This is more than a farmers market — it’s a space where culture, health, and economic power come together. From fresh produce and African and Caribbean cuisine to local entrepreneurship and community programming, the market is a living example of what self-determined communities can build.

Powered by the Black Power Blueprint and the African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF), this work directly challenges food apartheid while uplifting Black farmers, vendors, and families.

Volunteers are essential to creating a vibrant, welcoming space where our community can access healthy food, connect, and thrive.
